Youth Ministries

An exciting youth program is offered to our teens, grades 7 through 12. Teens are offered opportunities throughout the week to be taught from God’s Word including Junior High and Senior High Sunday School classes and Youth E.D.G.E. on Wednesday night. Through these regularly scheduled teaching times, teens are taught from the Bible and are encouraged to study and understand God’s Word for themselves while making real-life applications from what they are learning.

Youth E.D.G.E.

The acronym E.D.G.E. outlines the various goals we have for the teens who
attend FBC - Evangelism, Di
scipleship, Growth, and Edification. We desire for our teens to be saved from their sins through faith in Christ, committed to following Christ as His disciple, growing in their love for Him, and to be built up in their growing knowledge and faith. We also want them to grow in their ability to help others in their lives to follow Christ in these ways. These are the four main concentrations for Youth E.D.G.E. on Wednesday night as we teach our teens from the Bible, while also teaching them how to read and understand God’s Word during their own personal Bible study at home.

Youth Service Opportunities

Giving teens opportunities to practically apply what they have been learning is a high priority for us. Because of this, our teens are involved in various church ministries in any given week and often come together as a group to participate in ministry.

  • Youth choir/orchestra
  • Assisting adults in various church ministries, particularly with younger children
  • Staffing church functions such as the Ladies’ Christmas Tea
  • Helping with Scripture publication ministry
  • Various other ministries in the church and to church families

Youth Events

During the year, the FBC youth group enjoys a variety of activities designed to give opportunities for discipleship and growth together as a group in a more casual setting. These are the types of activities you might experience as part of the youth group at FBC:

  • Attending Summer Camps such as Camp Chetek or The Wilds Christian Camp
  • Attending Winter Camps at Camp Chetek or Camp Joy
  • Attending various Youth Conferences and rallies
  • Athletic activities such as Ultimate Frisbee, Football, or Volleyball
  • Out of the Box Activities (“Chuck-It” is an FBC favorite)
  • SNAC Activities (Sunday Night After Church) that always involve food and games
